Officials of the Authority have been briefed on the Shega e-commerce system.
Payment Financial Technology has launched an electronic marketing system called http://www.shega.com where micro, small and medium enterprises can easily deliver their products to consumers.
Speaking on the occasion, Daniel Olani, Deputy Director General of the Authority’s Facilitation Sector, said the Authority has been working to increase the market share of the industry.
He said brokers are the ones who are benefiting more than the producers and consumers in the country. He said e-commerce has a significant contribution to make in terms of using the country’s products. Daniel further said that they will work together with Payment Financial Technology to further promote the service and benefit the industries.
Ms. Simret Aimro, Director of Payment Financial Technology Shega Business Strategy Manager, gave an overview of the organization and the platform. Simret said the company, which previously launched the popular payment service “Lelu”, is currently working on e-commerce systems by designing various projects.According to Simret, one of the activities is an electronic marketing system called Shega, which focuses on local manufacturers.
According to the business strategy manager, the technology will help modernize people’s lifestyles. Along with the e-commerce system, it will also provide training, support and loan services to enterprises on packaging, branding and other systems, he said. The forum was attended by the Deputy Directors, Directors and Team Leaders of the Authority. Various comments and questions were raised at the forum and participants indicated that they need to work closely to make the service effective.
